Harvey Porter Kolor-Wand Auto-correction System
|
Q: I stained and finished a new pine armoire in dark walnut. At the time, it looked great, but now I've changed my mind and want it back to natural pine. Is there any way to do this without having to refinish? Hugh Jaas
A: Your timing couldn't be better. Just this past week, Mulligan Finishes came out with its new "Harvey Porter Kolor-Wand Auto-correction System." One convenient package contains the color correction wand, instruction booklet, and suggested color chart. Just point the wand at the piece and shout "coloramus" and the surface will change to another hue. For natural blond wood, use the word "ignoramus." Don't do it too many times on the same piece, though, or the wood might end up confused, and looking like a frat house carpet after a bout of excessive drinking. - "Red" Oakes
