High-tech Reversible Glue-ups

Printer Friendly Version  Increase Text Size Decrease Text Size
Q: Is there any such thing as reversible glue for those times when a glue-up goes wrong?

Gustav Wynde:
There is one that I know of, though it is fairly expensive. Called Pow'rglue, it sets normally but then releases with a particular frequency triggered by a small remote. It is similar to how a garage door opener works, and each bottle of glue comes with a pre-set frequency remote that supposedly works only on that bottle of glue. However, friends have told me of cases where another person's remote triggered their glue. For obvious reasons, you shouldn't use it for building ladders.
