During a recent project where I was required to do a good deal of template routing, I stumbled on a slick way to keep router guide collars from vibrating loose during cutting. I wrapped the threads with a layer of Teflon® plumber's tape. It worked like a charm, and the collar unscrewed easily when I was done.
